The New Hampshire Community College Fortier Library along with the Berlin Public Library are pleased to announce the return of the Spring Book Discussion with this spring's series "Journeys to the Edge II," set to begin on March 22. The series will feature four books with discussions led by NHCTC English professor Marion Schafer, Dartmouth Professor Suzanne Brown, and Independent Scholar Jennifer Lee.
Suzanne Brown will start off the series Wednesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. with a discussion of the novel West with the Night by Beryl Markham. On Wednesday, April 19th, Suzanne will lead a second discussion, this time for the novel Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. Jennifer Lee will facilitate the third discussion of the series for the novel Arabian Sands by Wilfred Thesinger, to be held Wednesday, May 17th at 7 p.m. The final discussion of the spring discussion series, for the book The Rope Eater by Ben Jones, will be held Wednesday, June 14th at 7 p.m. and led by Marion Schafer.
All four of the sessions will be held at the Fortier library at the NHCTC campus in Berlin and are sponsored by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
