NHCTC Spring Scholarships and Awards Reception

The New Hampshire Community College at Berlin (NHCTC) recently held its annual Spring Awards Reception and a large number of NHCTC students received recognition for their academic achievement and athletic contributions to the college. Almost $18,000 and numerous awards were presented to over 25 students who are continuing their education at CCSNH-Berlin.

Many of the scholarships that are given out are made possible by the generosity of local organizations and individuals. Prior to the announcement of the scholarships and awards Financial Director Jackie Catello made a special point of recognizing the college's benefactors. Mrs. Vera Smith generously donates to the nursing program in memory of her husband Edgar C. Smith and in her own name. Also recognized for their ongoing support were the CCSNH-Berlin Student Senate, the NHCTC- Berlin Nursing Faculty, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Drouin, the Woodlands Credit Union, Androscoggin Valley Hospital and the Berlin Kiwanis Club. These individuals provide matching funds for two state scholarship programs--the Nursing Leveraged Scholarship Program and the Governor's Success Scholarship Program.

The recipients of the $3,500 in Androscoggin Valley Hospital Awards are as follows:
