Shaheen Speaks at CCSNH-Berlin Graduation
The 37th graduating class of the New Hampshire Community College at Berlin was privileged to have former Governor Jeanne Shaheen give the commencement address on Friday, May16th. Governor Shaheen spoke about the important role the graduates can play in the future of the state and specifically the North Country as they leave college and go out into the work force. As Governor, Shaheen played a critical role in finding new owners for the local paper and pulp mill and commented on how happy she was to see smoke coming out of stacks. Her address was well received by the graduates, their families and friends, as well as the faculty and staff of the college.

One of the highlights of the graduation is the granting of the President's Award that each year goes to the highest achieving member of the graduating class. This year's recipient was Louise Martel who has been an active and valued member of the college community during her time at NHCTC. Martel plans to continue her education.
