Originally from Groveton, NH, Sandy graduated from the Child Care Administration option to the Management Program in 1993. Sandy has worked in a variety of interesting jobs in the field of Early
Childhood Education. After she graduated, Sandy's first job was the Co-Director at First Step Day Care in Colebrook. From 1994-98 Sandy was the Executive Director of Genesis Children's Center, a non-profit community based child care center licensed for 20 children in Groveton NH. Sandy has also worked for Head Start as the director in Berlin, NH and was the NHCTC Preschool Director until 2005.
Currently, Sandy is working as a Child Care Resource and Referral counselor and pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Childhood Studies from Plymouth State University. Sandy is the 2005 winner of the prestigious Providian Bank Award for Child Care Excellence. She is living proof that the opportunities are wide in the field of Early Childhood Education and that serving Coös County's children and families is rewarding.
